Tax Year 2025 Standard Deductions has been released:
For single taxpayers and married individuals filing separately the standard deduction rises to $15,000 an increase of $400 from last year 2024. For married couples filing jointly, the standard deduction rises to $30,000.

The IRS is finally moving forward with a new tax reporting rule; Taxpayers who received more than $5,000 in payments for goods and services through an online marketplace or payment app in 2024 should expect to receive a Form 1099-K in January 2025. IRS will also receive a copy of your Form 1099-K.
